Pictures...FINALLY!!

I'm posting the ultrasound pictures that I have so far...It starts with the one that you have to be a special kind of person to be able to spot a baby. Then I have our 10 week ultrasound and then the 20 week. The 20 week shows the face, profile, and the money shot (or lack there of). Sorry, it's taken so long!!

At our 24 week checkup everything sounded good. Her heartrate was 140. Our next visit is a fun one...glucose screening, blood test...yippee...then, I'll start going every two weeks. What the heck did I sign up for??!!

We had a wonderful FIRST Thanksgiving at my parents' house and then his mom's house on Friday. It was nice to not have anything to do for a few days. Then, we went home to get our FIRST Christmas tree. It was a yucky day, but we stuck it out and found a wonderful tree. Michael put the tree up and then I put on the lights and ornaments (check out the profile!!). There weren't very many, but I'm sure we'll be able to cover a tree in a few years. This year it's only the front of the tree that has ornaments and those had to be strategically placed so the tree didn't look bare in certain areas. Michael topped the tree off with a star. My hero!! We also had to have a talk with Tyson that he could not hike his leg up on this tree. As you can see, he was very curious and he's gotten into the Christmas spirit. Now, I'm counting down the days to our Christmas break...it can't come soon enough. The stairs at school seem to get higher and higher everyday. I have some wonderful kids who offer to carry things for me and jump to pick stuff off the floor when I drop it...now, if they would just listen in class they would be perfect!! We hope all is well with everyone and we love you all!!!

What's the name?

That's the question everyone is asking. Her name is going to be MICHAELA ISABELLE PENDLEY. We're going to call her Michaela.
I have a doctor's appointment this week. I'll let everyone know how it goes and I'll post some pictures, I promise!!!

First Time Blogging

I'm a first time blogger and I got the idea from my older sister. It seems like a good way to keep everyone updated...so here goes
Michael and I got married May 30th, 2008. Then, in July, we found out that we were expecting...VERY BIG SURPRISE! We were planning to wait a little bit longer, but my mom's friend "Grauntie Sue" put it best when she said: "If you want to make God laugh, tell Him you have a plan." So, it's been quite a ride so far...with dealing with the realization that I'm going to have a baby, then spreading the word to everyone else, and finding out what the baby is going to be. Most of you that know me know that I'm not a girlie girl and everyone always joked that I would have the prissy princess. Michael's mother is the last girl in their family. Then, we found out on Halloween that everyone else was right. We're expecting a girl. I'm getting used to the idea and now trying to come up with ways to not have too much pink. : ) We're very excited and can't wait for March to get here! Although, we are enjoying our last months of "alone time," I guess our honeymoon will be ending early. I'll keep you posted and pictures will be up too. Love and miss everyone!!
